I'M FROM

I’m from the misty mornings up in the horizon.
I’m from the loudness outside the house.
I’m from the darkness full of stars in the sky.
I’m from the exciting smiles people put in their faces.
I’m from a heart warming family in a cold day.
I’m from a family full of siblings not able to count.
I’m from the mother with two girls and two boys.
I’m from the ocean breeze on a tropical island.
I’m from the eggs and beans every morning with the rich smell of coffee,
I’m from the circus play with interesting jokes that make people laugh I’m from the crazy morning days
And the heavy night sleeps, I’m from the coziness of my home.
I’m from a lady screaming and begging to get up for another hectic day at school.
I’m from the happiness on a little kids face when he gets an ice cream.
I’m from people that listen to marimba and vallenato.
I’m from a family that celebrates each day of life.
I’m from the heavy rainy nights. I’m from a mother that can be a best friend.
I’m from a pack full of funny games.
I'm from Guatemala and Colombia where festivals are made.
